"I am the Author eTwinning Project''

The “I Am an Author!” project invites students to explore their creativity as storytellers inspired by visual art. Unlike traditional approaches where students illustrate pre-written stories, this time they will observe and analyze images from different cultures – paintings, comics, drawings or illustrations – and create original stories based on their own interpretations. Each participating class will select or create visual works that reflect elements of their national culture, traditions or folklore. Students from different countries will then exchange these works and write original stories inspired by what they have seen, heard and felt. Through this inverted creative process, the project promotes the development of imagination, intercultural understanding and collaborative authorship. The final product will be a digital multilingual book consisting of the students’ stories and corresponding works. This book will be a testament to cultural exchange and student creativity, demonstrating how images speak universally while allowing for diverse interpretations. The project promotes literacy, visual literacy, critical thinking and appreciation of cultural diversity. It also includes inclusive and accessible practices for students with special educational needs. Collaborative activities will be conducted using TwinSpace, Padlet and online meetings, encouraging peer feedback and teamwork. This is an important opportunity for young students to become authors, storytellers and cultural ambassadors.

Project Duration: November 2025 – March 2026
Target Group: Students aged 10-14
Objective: Students will develop their creative writing skills, create collaborative products, gain collaborative skills using digital tools, and experience cultural sharing.
